Honey Bees are mostly three types Queen bee, Worker bee, and the drone bee. All these three types of bees live together to form a colony. A colony of bee consist of 20,000 to 70,000 honeybees. Queen bee and the worker bee both are female, and the drones are male. Only queen bee reproduce and its main role is to fill the hive with eggs, while worker bee collects pollen and nectar to form honey to feed the colony, it also clean the hive.
Only female bee has a stinger. Queen bee don't leave the hive. Worker bee uses its sting to protect the colony. While male honey bee (drones) do not have a stinger and their main purpose is to mate. Bees can see all the colors except the red color. Honey bees have highly developed sensory organ that can detect the presence of flowers from quite a large distance. It can also detect a variety of the smell. Their sense of smell help to find flowers and pollen.
