Solar energy

In our mind question arises what is solar energy and how it is useful to us. Solar energy is that radiation which is coming from the sun. We know that a part of sunlight reaches to earth and most of the solar radiation gets reflected back by the earth atmosphere. Our atmosphere works as transparent plastic or glass which also reflects some part of heat and light from their surface.

    Sun (an ultimate  source of energy 

Sun is the main source of energy. It gives light and heat energy and this primary source of energy utilized by plants to make their food, this phenomenon is known as photosynthesis. It is well known that in ecological pyramid plants are basic source food to all living creatures, though it is a primary and fundamental level which uses sunlight to make his own food so solar energy is a primary source of energy.

In nature, we saw a number of energies like wind energy, the mechanical energy of moving water, etc. These are converted forms of Solar energy.

The scientific approach to converting  solar energy into electrical  energy

Photoelectric effect is the phenomenon in which beam of sunlight in forms of energy packets of photon, falls on the metal surface and if the energy of photons is greater than threshold energy (energy by which an electron bond to a metal) then electron ejected from the metal, and the kinetic energy of electron is equal to the difference of total energy of photons and threshold energy.

Today we know that electrical energy is the most important form of energy for human beings. We cannot imagine life without electricity, and initially, it is well known that solar energy is primary sources for all energies. Thus we need to evolve such ideas and tools through which we can convert solar energy to electrical energy easily, cheaply, and more efficiently.
