Friendship

Friendship is the most important relationship that stands on mutual understanding and belief.  The proverb ‘A friend in need is a friend indeed’ that always true for everyone. In our daily life, we come across so many persons but all of them are not our friends.

Friends are not created by birth we acquire them. Generally, friends have the same age group. They belong to the same generation. Their aptitudes and interest are generally common. They may be neighbors, maybe a classmate or maybe a colleague. Good friends share all their secrets among them. Their mutual understanding is far better than other relatives.

There are mainly three types of friends, true friends, casual friends, and fair-weather friends.

A real or true friendship is an unbroken friendship till the last. A true and faithful friend has many qualities. They never abandoned their friends in difficulties. They remain with their friends at all times and share joy and sorrow with each other. They are the all-weather friends. They stand with their friends even in the worst situations. A real friend never betrays their friends.

In our daily routine, we come across with so many people and some of them become friends for a purpose. Many people we meet in our travels on buses and the trains they become our friend for a while. They are casual friends with whom we exchange many views. But at the end of the journey, the casual friendship is also ended.

The third type of friends is a fair-weather friend. They are generally sycophants. They linger around their friend only in joyful moments. They take advantage of their friendship and when fortune turns against their friends, they would be nowhere to be seen.

Friendship multiplies our joys and divides our sorrow. Friendship is an art and a few persons are born with this natural gift.
