Plastic is now a day great contributor to the overall pollution of the earth. Extensive use of plastic had made our soil infertile and contaminated our groundwater. Plastic is the very cheapest and liquid substances can easily be carried using plastic bags.
The adverse effect of plastic waste can easily be seen. Aquatic animals living in water bodies are getting disappear day by day. Plastic pollution has made our earth ugliest. Our health also has much concern due to plastic pollution. Plastic waste works as a barrier which slows down the movement of rainwater to the underground water, creating flood and drought-like situation. The rainwater got contaminated due to plastic waste and got mixed with various water bodies.
To control plastic pollution, a lot of initiatives were taken by various organizations and government bodies. 'Beat Plastic Pollution' is one of the most successful campaign, this is a worldwide campaign to stop further plastic waste in our environment. This campaign promotes the use of paper and cloth bags which easily get decompose. This campaign enhancing awareness among the citizens towards our responsibility to make earth green and clean.
